Super Cheap Glasses!

I got a new glasses prescription and decided to try out a cheap-o online place. Glasses at my local place are $20-$30 per lens, and then the frames start at $180. Or I could drive into a cheapo place in Madison and find a sale for $60 or so. But I figured just to try out the new 'scrip I'd go WAY cheap.

I got this set and I'm pleasantly surprised. The whole thing with anti-glare and shipping was under $25. They even look good. (Total crapshoot, I know. I figured they'd just be TV-watching glasses if they looked stupid.)

They look good! Now just keep your fingers crossed you never need varifocals. That's when the lenses get so scary expensive they put the price of the frames in the shade!

I have monovision, which is lasic surgery in one eye. I opted for that to preserve my close vision.

When my reading vision totally goes--which it's beginning to--I'll have my second eye lasiced and just have glasses for close-work. I was thinking of just doing it right away but I needed some time to prepare. I want to take about two weeks off when I do it and just lay around listening to audiobooks.

My SO will probably have bifocals on the next go-around :-/
