Gratuitous cat pic

Frankie looks igloo-shaped! When we got him, the humane society told us they thought he was 1 or 2 years old, and he'd been a stray (although a neutered stray, so what's the deal, he escaped? But he never tries to get out.)

Anyway, I would guess he's put on a good few pounds since we got him in June and he's ginormous now. And igloo-shaped.

He's laying on something we call the "squishy," a tempur-foam mattress pad I bought, decided it made the bed too hot, and sewed a cover for so we could throw it on the living room floor to watch TV. He's the first cat to discover the squishy, which I find odd. It seems like such an obvious cat thing. Of course, throw a paper bag, a hunk of cardboard or a sheet of bubble wrap on the floor and they're all over it. There was even a span where they were volleying for position on a piece of torn newsprint, though we threw that out when it got raggedy.

What a pretty kitty.
My cats love paper towels and toiler paper.
Nothing like coming home to tons of shredded paper product.
Then they all look at the dog, like he did it.

OF COURSE the dog did it. That's why he's looking at you with those big, limpid eyes and wagging his tail.

I love the orange stripes on Frankie's forehead.

I need a kitty icon. I'll use my wii icon.

Yes he is a very pretty cat.
The dog's innocent. Now if I come home and all the blankets are on the floor - he did it. He's a doxy so he loves to burrow.

You need an icon of Frankie's face :o)

What a cutie! You're so lucky that you have such a beautiful creature!

Thank you! My co-worker volunteers as a cat-petter at the humane society and she sold him with a sob story about someone adopting him and bringing him back because he was shedding too much! How lame! She didn't deserve him.

(He did initially shed big gobs of hair but now that he's used to the house it's down to a normal level of shedding.)

With that picture, I think he's full blooded flame point siamese. We had one that was a stray (owner moved and left the cat) and we didn't even know he was a siamese until I saw it on the vet records after we'd had him for years. He was 14 pounds and not overweight just long. Your cat will probably get more orange with age and his coloring would suggest he's still really young.

Either way, what a cutie!!!!

Thank you! Frankie is bulking up a lot since we got him, but he's also a lot longer than the other cats, especially his legs. He can take up the whole bed laying sideways!

It will be interesting to see if his coloring changes.

What a gorgeous cat! Anything he can fit inside is awesome in my cat's eyes. (The closer fit, the better.)

How cute! That reminds me, mine find weird places to sit, they enjoy the "new spot" for about a week, then they abandon it and find another spot.

That's a beautiful sleepy-cat-is-sleepy photo! He looks so happy and relaxed, now he's finally found his home.
