I Get My Desert Island Membership Card

Yay, hooray! Jenre awarded Camp Hell a 5+ star "Desert Island Keeper" ranking on Reviews by Jessewave today. She said:
This was the first book in the series where I felt Vic was able to solve the mystery through using his powers deliberately and not through sheer good fortune – a surprising and delightful turn of events.
I hadn't actually thought about it that way, but how true. Vic has needed to hide from "the bad guys" so thoroughly that he's hidden an awful lot from himself, too.

Read the rest of the review here -- and I'd love it if you commented!!!

Yay, thanks! I guess that more than with other characters, I always knew that core of strength was inside Vic.

With Wild Bill and Michael there's more discovery happening as I write.

I loved reading the books because you really can see Vic's growth. Swarm was amazing, there's growth and I just want to hug those two, nothing is easy for them.

Great review, you deserve it! I agree, I felt like in this book we actually got to see Vic being a bit sneaky and thinking ahead of the curve instead of figuring things out on the spot. Not that I don't love Vic also having things work out through sheer luck. ^__^

Thanks! It felt really empowering to have Vic start being more proactive than reactive. Of course that could change at the drop of a hat given the right circumstances...

A great review!
A deservedly good review for a wonderful book.

(Thanks for writing the full version of DIK; I knew I'd seen it before, but I was too embarrassed to ask what it meant. ;-) )

Re: DIK review
Ha ha, maybe Camp Hell could win the DIY designation too, since it's self-published. My mom was telling me she liked the cover and I said, "Thanks," and she said, "Did YOU do that?" The whole publishing thing is all a bit hazy to her, I think.

Congrats Jordan!!!!!!!!!! I luved the review, it was very good XD

I have to agree with her when she says: "This was the first book in the series where I felt Vic was able to solve the mystery through using his powers deliberately and not through sheer good fortune – a surprising and delightful turn of events." - it is true, sometimes, when reading the book I would scream: "Hello!!! Vic u have Psy 'powers', so use it lol" but still I couldnt get angry with Vic 'cause he never sees what's right under his nose lmao and yup, Vic's self-depreciating and I LUVVVV it ^_~ (maybe 'cause Im also self-depreciating)

Another thing I liked in this book was that some of the spotligh was shared with Jacob YAY he has power (Ialmost died with happeness when I discovered), and the poor baby (o.O) was so damn happy XD oh yeah talking about it I also liked his inteview. When reading the series I always wanted to know what Jacob was thinking, so the interview answered some questions ;)

ROFL I didnt know what DIK meant XD yup the whole series' definetly a DIK

PS: is Hémovore part of a series or is it a stand alone??
and i wrote a lot *run and hide*

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the review!

Hemovore is a standalone. It couldn't get any more complete.
