More Zero Hour to love!

andrea__88 just emailed me to tell me she'd finally broken down and read Zero Hour (because serialized stories make her crazy waiting for the next part, so she managed to hold out this long) and she said, "There are 14 chapters, right?"

It appears I forgot to link chapter 14 with chapter 15. So for anyone new to Zero Hour, there are FIVE chapters you haven't seen yet.

Here's a link to Chapter 15

Chapter 20 will come out with the 8/15 edition of JCP News.

Uh, you get the idea.

And there are going to be bonus chapters from Hemovore in this months newsletter right? Dammit, why can't it be the 15th TODAY!?!

P.S. I had to laugh when I listened to your podcast today. Proud owner of a Kindle who used to be just like one of those folks you mentioned. I swear, I even made the "smell" comment myself a few times. And the change over was just as you said. Once I realized how convenient it was to be able to carry all of my favourite books with me where ever I went, I was a goner. E-Readers - They're like crack for bibliophiles.

HAHAHA I was pretty harsh on the "Oh, I'd NEVER like one of those ebook reader!" crowd, wasn't I??? I'm glad you thought it was funny!

I think you can tell by my tone I'd had "one of those days" at work recently.

I'll be really excited to get an ereader. Right now I use my iPod. I heard a rumor that Apple's gonna do a little sumpin' so I know what I'll want for Christmas if that's the case.

I do read print books more than ebooks because I'm surrounded by them at work, they're free, and they're easier to take to bed--but only because I don't have an ereader. I think owning a bigger ereader will shift my usage. The iPod and iTunes have totally changed my attitude toward music. I put a stereo in my office and couldn't even deal with it; I got rid of it. I wanted iTunes.

*waves hello*
I'm someone who's still not too keen on the idea. :D

I guess I'll get one eventually, but at the moment, they're way too expensive, and what about that case where the writer decided they didn't want their book available on Kindle any more, and Amazon removed it! Just like that! It disappeared. People got a refund, but they just lost that book. I couldn't believe something like that could happen. It didn't inspire me to think more positively about the whole E-Reader thing.

LOL that's so true, it does drive me crazy. :o)
I loved every bit of it and then to get five more chapters was awesome. And waiting until the 15th shouldn't be too bad - in theory anyway.

I have this fantasy that I'll be so excited to finish writing Zero Hour that I actually do it sometime soon, and that I have the print version ready to unveil when the serial finishes in the newsletter.

I guess it could happen. More likely the print would come out 1-2 months later.

And that was me...not some gnome who writes Zero Hour while I drink MaiTais and eat brownies.

LOL, no gnomes? They must all be on holiday

I can't wait for the rest of Zero Hour and your next project :o)

They go on holiday all the time. It's that Travelocity discount they all get. Frequent flier miles.
