Whoo! Yay! B&N Bestseller!

Holy crap! We are rank 70 on all of Barnes & Noble fiction and non fiction books. This is a big-assed deal for me. I probably never would have even believed an m/m book would be in the top 100 at all.

And apparently the free shipping coupon works well :D

Congrats! I'm so happy for you!

Thank you! Me too! Squee squee squee!

You both deserve it. It's a great partnership and I can't wait for more.

Looking good!

The free shipping only applies domestically, not internationally, so I'm looking at different sites for the best price for me. B & N isn't bad, but every little bit helps when it comes to international purchases.

Glad to hear you'll be getting a copy, wherever it may be! I hope you enjoy it :D

I'm so happy for you and Josh! I know that anyone who's read any of your previous work will be looking forward to this with baited breath! I've preordered mine from amazon (they said it wasn't available yet). I would have ordered from B&N, but just didn't think of it when I put the order in. Congrats!

My natural impulse is to look at Amazon too -- probably because of the free shipping. One of my readers slipped me that coupon code after I sent out an email blast. Then when I checked the product on B & N, I had to look at that sales rank, baffled, and try to figure out if it meant what I thought it meant.

It was your combined popularities. You both have great fanbases because you're such awesome authors!
May. 25th, 2009 07:22 am (UTC)
I had always assumed our readership was mostly overlap already because of our similar sensibilities, so that our partnership might not bring a high volume of new readers to each other, but maybe that the ones we did introduce would be more likely to "get" us.

But without surveying each and every reader, who can say?

I'm still stunned. Our m/m book reached #69 at B&N yesterday. Amazing!

I'm another international one, so I'll need to see where I can best maximise my freight dollar. *g*
May. 25th, 2009 07:25 am (UTC)
Yeah, that freight is a doozy! I'll bet in 5 years technology will be in place where you won't have to ship books internationally any longer. They have already made machines that do print-on-demand while you wait. Now they have to make those machines affordable.

I have been known to be influence by a coupon or two in my time :D

Thank you, thank you!

Now, if they'd only send to me! I've ordered, it's coming, but they don't say when. Wah. I want my Josh/Jordan!
May. 26th, 2009 07:54 am (UTC)
I know, doesn't everything you really want to happen quickly seem to fall on a holiday weekend???
May. 26th, 2009 05:31 pm (UTC)
Hi Jordan,

Any idea what's going with Amazon? They're now listing the book as being available in 1 - 3 weeks?

Just curious. Trying to decide whether or not to cancel at Amazon and order somewhere else.

Edit: Meant to say thanks;)

Oh! That's news to me! I wonder what's up with that? In my experience with print-on-demand publishing, you upload the text and cover art, you hit "OK," the info takes a mysterious amount of time to aggregate to Amazon with no rhyme or reason, but eventually your info shows up at Amazon and everyone can order the book right away. I can't imagine why a POD book would show as out of stock??

Wish I had the inside scoop! Sorry!

It just happened today. Not that I've been checking alot or anything;)

I thought it was really strange too, especially since B&N has it listed as in stock and even more so because there is another seller on Amazon that syas they have it.

Very strange.

I will send the hour-fairy your way.

*bing! There's another hour!*

Seriously, though, because my day-job is at a library, sometimes I seriously scare myself at the amount of stuff I take home and really do want to read. I need a schedule or a procedure or something. (Like, if I'm not enraptured by chapter three, it goes back.)

I'm relieved to hear you eventually got your book!

I would have ordered anyway. The coupon just made me order faster. Thanks to both of you for a fabulous read. My only complaint is that I finished reading already!

Re: coupon
Glad you enjoyed it! I always hate having to pay for shipping if I don't absolutely have to, so I was glad someone passed that coupon code along to me!
