cold feet

Getting ready to be on a local panel for Internet marketing (and I know I will talk first --eep). After that obligation is water under the bridge, I get to come home and work on... I think Zero Hour today.

I'd love any and all cheerleading I can get on Zero Hour. The Twitter comment of one reader already got my mind pointed in that direction. That, and my other stuff is stalled because I've written big chunks on it, and it now needs to cook down a little more so I can move on to "what happens next."

ETA -- Best panelist quote:
"Twitter may not be the best online venue for my funeral home."

My thoughts? I dunno. If you really wanted to rebrand your funeral home...

RAH RAH - GO GO GO!!
I'm LOVING Zero Hour! Really and truly. And this last installment ended at such a great point, I almost wanted to strangle you. Not in an "I'll kill you" kinda way, but a "OMIGOD, I can't believe you ended it there and now I have to wait a-WHOLE-nother month!! WAAAAAH!!" kinda way.

I actually held off reading it until a few months ago, because I when I get into a story, I want to sit and read through it and not have to wait for the next installment. But you've got me hooked; Ernest and Will are facinating characters, there's been hard earned but well desserved character growth, and the world building is fascinating. I've also passed this story on to 2 others and have gotten them addicted as well, although they don't subscribe to your newsletter.

So, **takes deep breath** MORE ZERO HOUR PLEASE!!

Blue

P.S. I'm betting that's not exactly what you had in mind with you asked for cheerleading, but I never was one for waving my pom-poms around. *wink*

YES!
That's exactly what I wanted and needed to hear. I think of Zero Hour as the little story that could.

I was on a really good roll, and then some other, stricter deadlines pulled me away from it, and I realized I hadn't worked on it for two months. SHEESH.

I'm more than ready to revisit it today. Hooray!

It's more than the little story that could. I've read as much of your work as I could find (Psycops, Channeling Morpheus, several short stories in other collections) and this is one of my favourites from you, right after Psycops and Chanelling Morpheus. It's smart, different, and packs a great punch.

So, I second your Hooray, and raise it to a WOO-HOO-HOO!!

Can't wait to see what happens next,
Blue

BAH, I've left the most recent Zero Hour on my computer that's in the shop. I'm getting it back tonight though. Hopefully with data intact. (Don't worry, it's all backed up!) I also installed a spiffy new keyboard tray in the computer's absence.
