What a pain in the Lash

For the past couple of months my eyes have been driving me nuts. This is nothing new...I've actually landed myself in the ER by rubbing my eye too hard. (Ten years ago...don't judge.)

But finally I deemed my current eye agony unbearable and went to an ophthalmologist. He found a couple of fine eyelashes growing inward, which he plucked out, and he prescribed a very spendy bottle of eyedrops. He says he doesn't think the lashes were the main problem...but I'm thinking they might have been. The eye felt better right away.

Hopefully after the swelling goes down they can fix me up with some glasses to help my see my computer better.

Uh, I've never heard of eyelashes growing inward. I hope you'll feel better now.
If your eyes are sore or red, sprinkle your closed eyes with cold water for some minutes and as you dry them rotated your eyes, you'll feel immediately refreshed.

Be well!

Ouch! No fun. The eyedrops my eye doctor recommends I use are ridiculously expensive ($25 for a tiny bottle), but I have to admit that they work the treat for my eyes and they actually do last quite a long time. I hope your eyes calm down now. It's no fun being unable to clearly see the computer screen.

I bought Psycop book 3 on audiobook yesterday. I LOVE how snarky the main character is. I just love him so much.

Ouch! I had a blocked tear duct once because I hadn't been rubbing my eyes enough...

Hope the drops work. Some nice cheap eyewash might help as well. Maybe a cold/chilled damp cloth as an eye mask? Cheap eye wash soaked cloth mask might be even better.

Although I didn't have to see an ophthalmologist, about a year ago I developed the same thing with eyelashes growing inward. Once I plucked them out, my eyes felt immediately better. Then, it started happening again. This time I found eyelashes in the inner corner of my eyes. Again, after I plucked them out my eyes felt a million times better.

Now, I just keep watch for those errant eyelashes and grab the tweezers I keep sterilized just for these things.

I'm glad you found out what the problem was. As I get older, I'm finding hair growing in the strangest places... XD

this happened to my secretary last year and the area around the lash ulcerated. So much pain. My sympathies! Glad you have gotten relief.
