If you're up for any country driving, these places are worth the trip:
The Old Feed Mill in Mazomanie http://oldfeedmill.com/

The General Store in Spring Green http://springgreengeneralstore.com/

The Schoolhouse Cafe in Paoli http://paolischoolhouseshops.com/cafe/

Potosi Brewing Company in Potosi http://www.potosibrewery.com/ (Literally the best burger in my entire life...and OMG-good beer.)

Grumpy Troll in Mount Horeb http://www.thegrumpytroll.com/

Though this is a pretty dour month to drive through Wisconsin.

Oh awesome, thank you so much for the suggestions! I have a friend that lives in Middleton so I'll run these by her and hopefully we can go out and do all the things! I live just outside of Minneapolis/St Paul in MN and we have about a foot of snow right now. You guys have much better weather down there, dour as it may be. ^__^ Mr. Seijikat and I like to get out on weekends and go road tripping all around MN and WI. We just got back from Duluth/Superior this past weekend. Don't ask me why we decided to go north for a 3 hour road trip in this weather. I'm still trying to figure out that myself.

The Grumpy Troll! What an awesome name. We have the Happy Gnome here. Perhaps they are distant relatives? XD I always said if I ever opened a bar/club I would name it The Drowsy Owl. ^__^

At family gatherings, everyone would rather sit at the Gnome's table ;-)

Your friend isn't too far from Mazomanie then, cool! (I remember that restaurant as being a bit expensive but I had an Entertainment Book coupon.) I hadn't realized you were coming from the west. That's even better, all these things are west of Madison.

The roads are awful here at the moment. I saw two bad accidents today. They are very slippery even though they just look damp.

Haha, indeed. ^_^

Oh no! Be careful! Mr Seijikat is a New Mexico native and Colorado Springs before that. When he moved to MN and met me right before his first winter, he asked me when people put chains on their tires for the winter. He was all O__O when I explained that we didn't. I still tease him about that. He still thinks we are all crazy round here. XP
