Almost done

I'm almost done with my office! Yay!

I laid carpet tiles yesterday. It was absurdly easy, except for the pieces I had to cut to fit around corners and heating vents and such. There is one I'm going to re-do, but everything else fit together so tightly I didn't need to use adhesive. That means that if a cat barfs somewhere, I can pull up the tile, take it outside and hose it down. I'm sold on these carpet tiles.

I need to buy & install a threshold, hang curtains, and then figure out a system for all the books that need to go in there. I suspect I have to part with some books. I must keep in mind that there are libraries all over, and the internet, and I don't need four versions of the same needlework book.

I also need to find a piece of molding to install under my chalkboard wall, some kind of ledge-like thing that'll hold the eraser and chalk. The wobbly line where chalkboard paint meets wall paint is pretty ugly!

The loveseat almost didn't fit through the door. We had it halfway in, wedged in the doorway, and I said, "Oh, these feet come off. Lemme take 'em off, that'll give us an inch." I did that, and realized it was still too tight, and I said, "OK, I guess we have to take the door off. Here, hold it up." Of course, it would have been too easy to take the door off before I had a big loveseat wedged in the doorway. I must like a challenge.

I'm full of love for my Black & Decker cordless screwdriver. It really came through for me.
