I love this pen!

I was out scoring half price candy today and I treated myself to new pens...OMG this is my new favorite pen. (PaperMate InkJoy if you can't read the little picture...or if LJ strips it out. LJ doesn't like my Amazon links.)

It glides over the paper like a dream. If you like a fine line it may not be the pen for you. I like a pretty bold line and it's perfect for me. The less I have to bear down on the pen, the better. But it's not quite like a gel, which I do typically find smeary. More like a really bold ballpoint.

I know! I have those pens as well. I love them!

YAY - you make me feel not quite so geeky. Or maybe that I have a sister in geekitude.

I'll have to try these. I love a bold glide, and typically use gel pens only. Thanks for the rec!

I'm not sure what appealed to me about them. Maybe the white barrel reminded me of my mac.

Gel pens smear too much for me---maybe because I write too fast for them to dry, lol :) I like the bold smooth writing pens too. . .I'll definitely check them out!!

I also hate it when pens soak through paper, which gel pens do.

I so want to try these! They aren't easy to get hold of in the UK though. :-( But Cult Pens is working on it!

Wow, the combo pen/caliper/ruler on their front page looks like a fetish item.

I've got a fetish for all kinds of pens. :D

It's probably a writer-thing, though some of us get more into it than others. (You have a actual pen icon so we can assume from there...)

Sounds great! I'm a lifelong fan of the humble black Bic Crystal biro, but it would be nice to have something with the same bold, non smeary ink, but without that pesky lid I always end up losing :)

I like those too, they're very old-school. I also really like Flair felt-tip markers with their draggy, stiff tip.

At my last job I had a Sharpie with such a wide tip that when I took the cap off, everyone in the workroom got dizzy. We called it "Mr. High."

I got one of those pens for my birthday. I love it :)

Lucky you. It would make a great gift--inexpensive, but one of those things you'll seem like a hero every time the recipient uses it.
Feb. 16th, 2012 09:29 am (UTC)
I will have to try them. :)

They're cheap too, a little over $2/ea

Pen lust. It's a beautiful thing. :)

Luckily it came in a two-pack. One for each end of the house.

Thanks for posting about InkJoy!
Hi Jordan, my name is Whitney, I work for Paper Mate & wanted to say thanks for posting about new InkJoy!
We are really proud of the new pen series and cannot wait for more people to try it - it's one of those things you need to experience to believe (and I'm not just saying that because I work for the brand, I really do love InkJoy)!

We are doing some fun stuff on Facebook too if you're interested in checking it out: www.facebook.com/papermate

Thanks again for posting!

Re: Thanks for posting about InkJoy!
Hi Whitney! It's funny, I was thinking, "I wonder if I should write Paper Mate and tell them how much I love this pen," and now I see I've been heard! Congratulations, it's an awesome product and you've made it really affordable too.

As noted by the number of responses you have gotten on this, my theory stands. There is nothing quite like a good pen. I'll have to try these out. Thanks, Jordan.

A good pen, a good cup of coffee, a good night's sleep, a good friend...some things are beyond value! Do try 'em. I'm in love.

I love love love pens. I love different coloured inks especially. I rarely write in blue or black anymore, it's usually purple. I have gel pens with sparkly ink and gel pens with metallic sheens. I totally love Paper Mate products, they seem to be a of a very high quality. The Ink Joy ones I have are the Ink Joy 100 in all those gorgeous colours. Also have the coloured Kilometrico pens. I probably have more pens than I'll ever use. It's like an addiction. I just keep buying different coloured pens.

I also have a few pens with feathers attached so they look like quills - sort of. Pens with bells, springy stars, pens with interesting patterns on the barrels... Not to mention the huge range of lead pencils...

Oh, you do love your pens! I have all those vintage steel dip pens I posted shots of in my newsletters, like the pen in your icon there. (Have I used them lately? No.)
