Too Real!

I wasn't feeling well last night so I went to bed crazy-early (like 8:30) and by the time 5am rolled around I was having all kinds of crazy dreams. In the last one I was back at the library clerking with a couple of teenagers who didn't know what they were doing, a customer who couldn't articulate what he wanted, new equipment I didn't know how to use, and a drive-up window with another customer who wanted information from me I'd have no reason to know. Then I glanced out the window and saw a line of cars stretching back from the drive-up window all the way across the parking lot. Aaagh!

I honestly don't need the hyperrealistic reminder of how hideous it is to work a day-job. But thanks, subconscious, I'm starting today especially grateful.

(The previous dream where I was Ville Valo's girlfriend was much nicer, even though I kept inexplicably changing my shoes and we couldn't seem to get a chance to be alone and some idiot stole the money the band was supposed to get from the venue they were playing so we were looking for an ATM in the middle of the night.)

Wow. That was some dream.

Mine the other night was much simpler (although came when I went to bed early too, maybe there's a lesson there). Patti, whom I met in New Orleans had one of those large plastic cups like you drink beer from and she filled it with Tequila then added about a tablespoon of orange juice, stirred it and that was her cocktail. I remember being in awe that she would be able to drink all that straight like that. So yeah, alcohol envy. Wonder what that means?

How funny! I don't think I dream about drinking much. I used to log all my dreams but I haven't done that for quite a few years, too time consuming (and ultimately pretty random).

I just remembered I also dreamt there were worms or grubs crawling on my walls and I was trying to mush them all with a paper napkin, and the napkin was getting all saturated because they were so juicy. Ewww.

Oh thanks, thanks for that image. Good lord. I suggest you stay up until at least midnight. *shudder*

The other night something woke me and I literally leapt out of bed. I was sure I had heard something. I checked on my daughter and she was sleeping, the cats were looking at me like I was insane but my heartbeat much have been 150. No clue what it was, maybe something outside. Most of the time I don't remember my dreams though. Probably for the best. LOL

Doesn't that story usually end with "and the ceiling was full of baby spiders"?

Ville, YUM!

...and my thought was, great, every woman on the planet hates me now.

Not at all.
For you are my friend and could a) introduce me and b) convince HIM to play South Australia and give me back stage passes.

Wow, my faith in humanity is restored :D

I'm not saying I wouldn't use all my feminine charm to steal him from you...

Dang, and you've got the cute accent, too!

My half Aussie, half Brit accent. That's never worked before but I'd try it.

This is probably a stupid question, but does drive through libraries exist? I'm asking because I'm still in awe of the drive through banks I saw when I was in the US...

No, it's not a stupid question! The building I worked at (built 10 years ago) had a drive-up window but it was very manual. The customer would ring a bell and the clerk would have to abandon whatever they were doing and dash 30 or 40 feet to go help the customer. In my dream it was automatic and it locked me out of the computer so I couldn't finish my in-person transaction, and I did it all via remote speaker...and of course the person at the drive up wanted something asinine.

Probably every other person asked for fries or a coke at that damn window initially, thinking they were so cute. I just wanted to scream.

It was good for people with dogs or babies in their car who just wanted to pick up a book on reserve though.

*LOL* Frustrating dreams can be totally exhausting,I know! Especially if they take place where you work. Last night I dreamed that all the books in the store had turned into cupcakes. They were all beautiful but it was impossible to tell what was what and give personal recommendations. I finally figured out that the pink ones where the romance books....

If that were my dream I'd probably try to eat the cupcakes and they'd turn out to not taste like anything. Or I'd have to defend them from the customers eating them!

They were all neatly displayed in glass counters and looked so much like works of art that eating them would have been a shame. I was more conserned with how to figure out the filling. Now that I'm awake the whole thing reminds me of something else; I should have looked around to se if Chanse was there! They were probably all chocolate cupcakes XD

That definitely sounds like a Chance prank to me. Now I'll amuse myself by thinking of him in the tight black jeans and cowboy boots he wore in Pretty Ugly.

It always makes me feel better when other people admit to their weird dreams. I have my fair share of them but rarely remember them past the morning after.

Isn't it a weird feeling to know you've dreamed something but you have no idea what it is? I think on those nights I manage to sleep longer than usual I have better recall.

I dreamt I got a job in telephone sales with 2 other people. The rest of the force was outside sales. Then they gave me and another a brand new Honda. One person got a Corvette. Then we were all worried the outside sales people would be jealous.

Re: dream
Wow, that's kind of realistic, the part about worrying about the other people getting jealous, anyway. I think I'd rather have the Honda. I'm practical about my cars that way.
