Gratitude #22 - garbage day

Thankfulness doesn't always need to be earth-shattering, or serious! I'm appreciative of garbage day, especially every other week when the recycle guy comes. I love the feeling of clearing out the wastebaskets and getting the corrugated cardboard out of my living room.

I'll never be one of those people whose floors you can eat off of--high levels of cleaning just aren't a priority for me--but I'm always pleased to clear clutter.

Doesn't have to be clean as long as it's tidy? More time to read. YAY!

I think I'd rather have clean but not tidy. Like a clean table with a bunch of books on it, for instance, rather than a clear table with schmutz and cat hair on it :D

I agree, but I can't escape the cat hairs as I can't get the cat from sleeping on my table!

Yes, because your heated floor is so much less comfy!

I'm not saying there isn't schmutz, cat hair AND clutter on my table. Just if I were to choose....

My feet like the floor very much but the cat can't be bothered.

My apartment tend to be tidy one room at a time......
I wish I had a sexy houseboy to take care of it for me. That would be something. As it is I mostly ignore the dust bunnies and spend my time on more important things, like reading. ;)

I'm thinking seriously about finding someone to hire to take care of my outside things. I almost asked this guy at the store earlier today, but it seemed cruel, as he was telling me all about how he is finally carving out time to do things for himself rather than helping everyone else out with their projects. (That's just the type of guy you need, though.)

When I worked at the library, if there was some guy-thing that needed doing and he popped in to get a book, we could always ask him and he'd happily do it for us.

Ha! I've been alone for so long I've gotten used to doing all the shores myself. I've even got power tools! But if the handyman was sexy enough I'd probably just bat my eyelashes at him and pretend to be totally useless.

How many Sweedes do you need to change a light bulb?

Three: one to hold the bulb and two to carry him around in circles.
