Pool Standoff

Thank you so much for the Halloween goodies, andy_slayde, ali_wilde, and filmatleven! I'm still debating about whether or not I want to give out candy on Halloween night in RL. Usually I just have a small handful of trick-or-treaters, and I don't much feel like sitting in the living room waiting for them to show up. Grumpy, I know.

Last night at water aerobics, the motel where we work out had some kind of promotion going, because the pool was full of other people (which never happens) and they were all irritated with us for coming in and exercising, because I guess the front desk failed to mention that the pool got used for an exercise class 2 hours every week. (There were other things for them to do while we were in the pool: a hot tub, a wading pool, some water slides. But everyone got all territorial.)

So our teacher was hell-bent on proving we needed every inch of that damn pool...and she kicked our asses from here to next week doing it. I usually stand near her, and as the level of intensity got ridiculous, I started groaning, "Joan...you're killing me."

"Well, I know."

She's my mother's age and has a bunch of pins in her thigh where she shattered her thighbone last winter, and she's tough as nails and can totally kick my butt. (And she's awesome, that goes without saying.)

Anyway. Today I feel it. In fact, I felt it at 3am. Very intensely! Owie.

Thankfully I live in an (almost) Halloween free country :D, so, no trick-or-treating here, it's just a few of those pumpkin lanterns
Ouch, I hope you feel better soon

Halloween is usually my favorite holiday. I don't know why I feel too exhausted to deal with it. :(

Unless I get off from work, I don't much care for holidays, the only one we celebrate in the family is a semi-Christmas thingy

Glad you liked the Halloween Goodies! I am a Grinch on Halloween and turn off the lights. But I really don't think I'd get many where I live anyway. Town usually does a party and all the kids go there.

Maybe I'll change my mind and get some candy, and sit in the living room and read. I dunno.

You are a nicer person than me ;o)
I am pretty much anti everything lately. I plan on getting a black Christmas tree too.

For your sake, I hope they don't have a lot of pool promotions! :)

It was pretty weird seeing all those people romping around on a Thursday afternoon. It didn't bother me, actually. It was just too bad everyone got weird.

It's funny, when anyone stands/swims somewhere different, everyone says, "Why are you over there???" But it's a happy enough class that we know it's just us ribbing each other.

I ended up working into the night and not realizing it was Halloween. I think my village may have said the trick or treating was supposed to happen on Sunday, too, so I just decided I had no idea what was going on and left the lights off :P
