UnapPEELing

Has anyone ever had a problem with the cover of PsyCop: Property or Camp Hell peeling? I've read some complaints about that printer today in regards to another publisher's books, but I always thought my books looked good. I'm trying to figure out where I want to print Zero Hour.

ETA: the bad books I heard about were bad right out of the box. The covers were curling and peeling immediately, not after a few reads and riding in a bag and passing to friends ;-)

That's a relief to hear...I think I'm too scared to go with that printer for anything new though :-/

My copies of Property and Camp Hell have been read and re-read and passed around to friends without any problems. They're well-loved and not showing any signs of falling apart or peeling. :)

Whew! The copies I ordered all held up well, too.

Hi, I have Partners, Property, and Camp Hell in paperback, I've read all three of them twice, and they are in good shape. Just went and checked to be sure.

(sorry I've not been responding so much lately. Just busy-ness, but I continue to watch for your publications!)

I have all three books and have read (and loaned) them many times. They are holding up beautifully!

The only problem is that they desperately need another book to complete their look! *makes puppy dogs eyes*

Camp Hell still looks good but Property is beginning to peel at the edges and one corner. Damnit! I noticed it a while ago so it's interesting thet you've asked. It's not bad, but it won't get better.

Camp Hell is great shape after several readings.
Property is showing wear for me as well.

Maybe you bought a dodgy couple of books...

Maybe I did. It happens.

Actually, Andy's batch would have come from the same printer because they were one order. I just read that CreateSpace farms out to various printers, thus quality inconsistency.

Drat! Okay, that makes my decision for me. No more CreateSpace for books. (My setup was free with Zero Hour but I'll abandon it and start over at LightningSource.)

Just read your ETA. Property got to me okay, but it is beginning to separate at the edges of the cover, like it's fraying. It has been read a few times, but not thousands.

I'm a nerd, and I cover my books - so no problems with mine ;)

I think you got one of the ones I hand-sent. I made it special for 'ya!

You cranked it out by hand and then glued the pages together? OMG!

If you look really closely at the font, you'll see it's all carefully hand-lettered.

Actually, I took a couple semesters of bookbinding in college and my books were never paragons of neatness and order.

Like others, my books have been read & reread, and no problem with the covers. And I love my Victor covers!
I'm even working on my own JCP poster.......

Hm...I wonder if it's affordable to print custom posters yet? You would think if they could print a book for $12-$15 they could do a poster for cheap. I'll have to look.

Email me privately; we'll see if we can get the printer to send you another copy.

It's not that bad that. It doesn't need to get replaced.
