The Book Depository

In a recent post about Petit Morts 1: Sweets to the Sweet, gaycrow  mentioned that she only shops at Book Depository, which has free worldwide shipping. I went and checked out the site and was very impressed. They have all my paperbacks, and reasonably priced, though you have to dig a bit to determine what's what on the two paperbacks I published through Createspace: PsyCop Property and Camp Hell.

The Book Depository

If you decide to shop at Book Depository, I'd love it if you go through one of my affiliate links, like the banner above, or the link on the PsyCop site or JordanCastilloPrice.com so I can earn a referral fee.

It's very nice indeed. I love the about the story bits as well. Can't wait to read it again and to read the new batch when they come out. Any idea when that will be?

I just put up my guesstimate of September in my "coming soon" page :D

I'm pretty far along on my part. Even the covers. Someone else is a last-minute-Charlie, but I forgive him.

Good, he needs to be forgiven.

I'm hoping for a late September release - it would drive me nuts knowing it's out and I can't read it...

I look forward to reading it - the two of you make a great team.

Early September would definitely be wishful thinking ;-)

For once I am happy that a deadline isn't met ;o)
Totally selfish, I know.

I'll try to remember to shop there via your affiliate links! I do like the free shipping anywhere - esp when I just want one book and don't want to try to hit $25 for free shipping somewhere.

I'm awful, I just keep piling shit in the cart till I hit $25. As a marketer, I admire Amazon's strategy.

If you spot anywhere you think would be a good place for me to put an affiliate link, let me know!

I use the Book Depository far more than I use Amazon now - for books anyway. The site isn't quite was slick, but is fine and I've never had a problem with them. The delivery isn't super-fast, but when it's free, well you can't be too demanding!

There is something really appealing about them, isn't there?

I think with Amazon, they're good about marketing things to you...other things you might like. And in that way they level the playing field between me and a humongo book corporation. They give me the same amount of real estate as a big book company--one page per product.

As a reader, though, if you know what you want, BD seems like a very good alternative. Especially if you don't live in a country with an Amazon.

BD is like crack if you are into yaoi. It is much cheaper, usually 30-50% less than I would pay if I drive downtown to the comic book shop, free shipping and it arrives in Canada in usually less than a week. I can't even get a post card to Toronto 5 hours away in a week. I don't go there often but when I do I find it's worthwhile.

I got Black Wade there for about $12 less than Amazon, plus Amazon was sold out with an indeterminate waiting list and I got it within 10 days from BD. If I go I'll be sure to use your link.

Crap. I hate when LJ logs me out and I don't notice. Grrr. That was me, obviously. :-)

Well, I was trying to run through all the Canadians I knew...

I was really pleasantly surprised by BD. I'm proud to put their links wherever. I have no idea how they manage to do the free shipping, but they do... and it's wonderful. I'm really pleased for all my international readers.

(I grew up just over the Peace Bridge and went shopping at Zeller's last fall when I visited my family, ha ha!)

Aren't they gross? I saw them somewhere...I think it was Woot.com. All that important news I need to know!
