Congratulations!!!!!
I'm off there to check it out. I'm in the mood for something other than HEA *lol*

I just recommended Thaneros to someone to showcase dark fic, but I found out tonight it's closing down *sigh*...

I just saw Thaneros is closing down due to health reasons, which is especially sad :(

I think "Luck" has a happy ending for one of the guys behind the wall :D

Congratulations on getting a horror story published. Which do you like better, writing horror or writing erotica? You know I think you do a good blend of those genres. I realized that I always sympathize with Vic's "ordinary person" reaction to horrific sights.

Wow, I had to think about that for a really long time, because my ideal would be to write horror with a great relationship at its core, and all the sex parts left in.

But I don't think that answers your either/or question.

I'd have to pick horror. I never read romance, I always read horror. I guess that's why when people start slinging romance jargon around, I'm the one going, "Huh? Alpha, beta, omega male, black moment, whut?" I think that horror as a genre has fewer specific expectations. Of course, every single horror writer will probably get compared to Steven King. Which is fine, since he's provided me many hours of reading pleasure.

Also, they both have the potential to be very formulaic genres. I think they also both produce a sort of empathy in the reader if they're done well.

I'm glad you like Vic's reactions to the horrors he sees. He's somewhat desensitized. I think that comes through, like he feels like he should be more grossed out than he is by certain things.
