Hi Jordan. Hit the "update your preferences" link from the webpage version of the newsletter and got a 404 error :( I appreciate your continued efforts to get it corrected :)

The sampler is a wonderful idea to introduce a new reader to your books!

Once the newsletter is launched, I can't make changes. Unfortunately, "update your preferences" also doesn't work from a webpage or an archived version because it doesn't know who "you" are, it would only know that if you did it from your email. Frustrating, I know.

Hopefully some newbies enjoy the sampler!

Thanks for the explanation.

The sampler makes it easier for me to point my "new to your writing" friends in the right direction. If they're not reading your books, they're missing out on some great stuff :)

I figure the m/m market has become so saturated with new writers and new series, even though I'm one of the "oldies" at this point, my work might be lost in the sea of m/m without easy ways for my dedicated readers to recommend it.

I'm thinking it might be good to change my self-archived page to make more sense with that update link. Might as well, the less confusion, the better.

On a different subject, have you ever thought of releasing audio books? Josh Lanyon has been doing his own lately and it made me wish for narrator Kevin R. Free to do the PsyCop series. He would be SO good for that one! I know it's a costly endeavor but wanted to see if you would consider it :)

I'll edit my response which probably sounded way blunt...

I have a smallish audience and my main seller is ebooks. Lately I'm not even selling many paperbacks, and am considering dropping paperbacks altogether because they're not cost effective.

Audio is really expensive to produce, and I suspect that I'd be so picky it would be nearly impossible to come up with a product I could get behind, and then I'd only sell a few dozen copies leaving me in the hole financially.

So I guess that's the long way of saying I've looked at it, but I don't think it's a viable product for me at this point.

HEEE - I'm glad you liked it! I noticed none of the words were backwards, which is good, because I can never find those.

OH what a great idea!!! I may have to get the sampler myself *cough* even though I already have most of what's in it... :D Will definitely be linking a friend to it that's just started reading original fiction of the m/m variety :D

BUMMER about the UK Meet :( That is really too bad :( I'm sure you'll have a blast at GRL though.

I think I tend to forget that new readers discover m/m every day!

You probably own it all already in multiple formats and autographed :D
