I've seen that green on a lot of movie posters. I must have initially sampled it from a background photo.
It's hard to imagine any kind of good series you could read in a random order, though, isn't it? Wouldn't that mean nothing important happened in the story before?
IMHO, Turbulence is a true series, where the plot develops as well by instalment. Your other series - Channeling Morpheus, PsyCop, Petit Morts - are examples of a series where the plots are largely individual to each book, but with continuing growth of the central characters' relationship and other underlying themes. And then there are series by other authors where they're not a development but a collection of stories set e.g. in the same place.
