I haven't moved in over 12 years but yeah, the world stops for me at moving time too.

It looks like it's gonna be another 100-degree day so either I do it in the morning or I do it on the treadmill.

It's an arctic 91 here today. But yeah, the humidity's pretty intense too. Although I never found the "dry heat" of Las Vegas to be comfortable at all.

You're so right about hikes. I go on a five mile hike once a week, and it's great. Calling it a hike make it sound more adventurous than it really is. It's more like a long walk with elevation gain. Being out there in nature without distractions, breathing fresh air, getting oxygen into the brain--they are all great for creativity. I went hiking yesterday and came back with the theme an rough plot of my next story.

Fortunately, the LA weather is much nicer than yours right now.

Wow, five miles! That's one heck of a hike. I've always thought there was some extra oxygenation happening when I walk in nature. Because sometimes even if I just sit among all those trees I feel invigorated.
