Professor Topaz and stars

I'm working on the book cover for the Magic Mansion paperback, and I had some of the design's layers turned off so I could see something that looked strange along the spine better...and I realized my composition was kind of interesting. Just John and some stars.

Thank you :D
I'm excited about the cover, it's coming along nicely. I just added a really subtle hint of blue to the lettering to bring out Ricardo's eyes a bit more and it really pops.

I keep trying to see if the stars spell out a secret word in cursive. Alas, they are only stars. ^_^

I can't wait to get the paperback!

They will be covered with words too and layered over a building when it's all said and done.

You are so gifted with the cover designs. I wish I had your digital imaging experience and your eye for this. All I can say is, you go sister! Can't wait to see the finished product.
XOXO

Thank you! I'm pretty close to done. I realized I make better progress when I work in 1 or 2 hour chunks rather than marathoning through.

Nice!!! Can't wait to add it to my growing JCP paperback collection :)

I just remembered I used to have a poster of the Andromeda Galaxy in my bedroom when I was at school, not that I was a nerd or anything.

Card-carrying nerds can probably cite myriad nerd references...but if you say you weren't (wink wink, nudge nudge) I totally believe you.

I really dig the John model. Funny thing, apparently he is a surfer in real life.

A surfer, huh? He must have a really good physique too *g*

He had a regular-guy kind of look to him...not like these oily gym rats you usually find on m/m covers.

Oh, wait. I meant oily HEADLESS gym rats. Sorry.
