Thanks - I need to look at Goodreads with one eye squinched shut so I felt kind of out of the loop about the whole thing. It's part of my whole being oblivious as to what people are saying about me objective. Which means I miss out on the good things too.

Understandable
Just know that there are quite a few goodreads fans of yours and you have a great buzz about the PsyCop series on there. :)

Re: Understandable
Thanks for the words of encouragement. All it takes is one look-how-snarky-I-am participant at GR to knock the wind out of my sails. I was looking in one of my threads to see what readers thought of my latest serial and found some snotty remarks about how PsyCop didn't live up to someone's expectations that not only put me off writing for the rest of the day, but made me totally doubt the worth of the new series I'll be launching in March. Then I waited a day, read my damn work in progress, and said, "This person's dissatisfaction has nothing to do with me. I can't control what they bring to their reading experience and I can't control what they say about it either. This story is great."

But I should have known better than to even look, or rather I did look even though I DO know better. That's my point. I'm like a baby eating poison candy over and over again, never correlating it to the thing that's making me sick.

Re: Understandable
I get where you are coming from, that stuff can hurt. The reviews I read and the groups I am in, are filled with GR members who are huge fans of the series and are desperate for more. The one complaint I see over and over is the concern there won't be anymore. :) So please keep doing what you are doing and I am hugely excited about your new series.

Re: Understandable
That's awesome to hear. I have two more PsyCop novels planned. I would never just end in the middle of a conflict ;-)

This made me giggle. Funny how simple things like seeing how you draw out this room can make your readers happy. Okay, well, me happy. :D

Glad you liked it! I felt pleased with it because I had such a solid picture of where everything was that it was easy enough to dash off without a problem. I pictured it like my freshman dorm room with an extra bed in it, I guess.

It's funny to think that Vic's diagram of Debbie's room probably looks a lot like this.

My imagination is backwards...for some reason, I imagined it turned 180 degrees from this picture.

Cool to see! Thanks for sharing.

You could rotate it around with no problem depending on where you were standing! :D

Very cool! I really like little things like this to firmly place my mind's eye in the right direction. Thanks :)

Yay, that means I didn't describe it too bad.

Great illustration! Makes so much sense now, lol. They had to crawl over the bed to get to the door!! I kind of had it backwards.

Seems like a lot of people imagined it opposite. Who knows, maybe I described it that way.

I had it the other way around, with Dreyfuss' room on the left and Vic and Jakob on the right, but at least I got it mostly right lol

Thanks for sharing.

If you were standing in Vic and Jacob's room facing the door, Dreyfuss' room would have been on your left.

I had the hallway door and the dresser beside it switched. Now I see why it was such a tight squeeze to get the crate unloaded. I love getting into this level of detail when the setting is such an important part of the story!

I used to live in a coachhouse that was 20'x20' in its entirety, so I can relate to climbing over something to get to something else. (when I moved into my 16x80 trailer it felt like a friggin palace. My bedroom is practically the size of my whole previous house.)

ohh.... that's just how I imagined it :). And I've just finished re-reading it, too LOL.
